A woman was arrested after allegedly trying to stab her husband on Feb. 1, according to a charging affidavit released by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies made contact with 42-year-old Melissa Holloway at Raintree Place in Palm Coast. Deputies observed blood on Holloway’s T-shirt and face, according to the report. Holloway was also missing a “large amount of flesh” from her left forearm, where her husband allegedly bit her.

The husband told deputies he was sitting in his vehicle in the driveway of the residence when Holloway came outside with the knife and attempted to flatten the tires with it. The husband said he tried to get Holloway to stop, but she then tried to “cut and/or stab” him. He bit her left arm until she dropped the knife.

The husband refused to complete a written voluntary statement form, refused medical attention and would not allow deputies to photograph his injuries.

Holloway, who was initially taken to Florida Hospital Flagler due to her injuries, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was then taken to the Flagler County Inmate Facility.
