Creekside Middle Math Counts Team places first in Chapter Competition

Students will have a chance to compete in the national competition.

Creekside Middle School's Math Counts Team placed first in the Chapter Competition and will now be going to the State Competition on Friday, March 23. 

The winning team, lead by Donna Bianchi, was Cody McCafferty, Peter Novak, Sofia Baker and Ethan Alves. Eric Chen and Cody McCafferty placed in the top four students overall and will be competing at the State Competition as individuals. They also won the Team Spirit Award.

Each school is allowed to send two teams of four students to the Chapter Competition and two alternates. Creekside sent an “A” Team and a “B” Team, which came in third place. 

All five mathletes attending State have a chance of going to the National Competition.
