Motorcyclist taken to hospital after Clyde Morris Boulevard crash

The driver was the only person involved in the crash.

A motorcyclist was taken to Halifax Hospital as a trauma alert after striking a curb and losing control, according to the Port Orange Police Department. 

On Friday, Feb. 23, at approximately 10:12 p.m., Port Orange police responded to the 4800 Block of Clyde Morris Boulevard in reference to a single motorcycle crash. 

According to police, the driver appeared to be traveling northbound on Clyde Morris before striking the curb. 

The name of the driver is not being released at this time.  

This incident remains under investigation. The Port Orange Police Department is requesting that anyone with information concerning this incident contact the Police Department at 506-5801 or the Traffic Homicide Team at 506-5840.
