Ormond Beach resident running for 2018 Florida House District 25

One Ormond Beach resident has announced he is running for the Florida House of Representatives for District 25, which includes Ormond Beach and Port Orange.

Joseph Hannoush will be on the 2018 general elections ballot as a Libertarian candidate against incumbent Republican Rep. Tom Leek. Hannoush said he decided to run for state house after seeing the small number of candidate choices on the 2016 ballot and hearing that some of the state house seats went uncontested that year. 

Some of the issues Hannoush is passionate about include criminal justice reform, rising cost of healthcare and alleviating the local tax burden.
