Several Port Orange residents will be displaying their artwork during the Art Guild of Ponce Inlet's Annual Fine Art Show. The show will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 17 and Sunday, February 18, at the Ponce Inlet Community Center, 4670 Peninsula Drive.
Jim Edwards, Elizabeth Hargrove and Esther Stephenson of Port Orange will be included among the lineup of artists showing their work.
Additionally, several baskets filled with unusual and locally-themed items will be raffled off during the event.
Admission and on-site parking are free.

Halifax Humane Society poker run
The Halifax Humane Society is getting ready for the upcoming Ruff Ride Poker Run Bike Week on Thursday, March 15, to benefit animals that are at the shelter.
The ride last from noon to 5 p.m. with participants playing their poker hands at each of the six stops. The ride starts at the Halifax Humane Society, 2364 LPGA Blvd.

ArtHaus to offer three children's art classes
Three children’s art classes will be offered at ArtHaus during February. The “Adventures in Art!” classes will be held on Tuesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. for children five years old and up. Christophe Cardot will teach painting classes on Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for children ages eight years old and up.
The “Art of Drawing” classes, taught by Monique Fisher on Thursdays, are scheduled from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Halifax Health race
For the fourth year in a row, Halifax Health has partnered with the Volusia Flagler Family YMCA for the 2018 Live Your Life Well Race Series. The race series consists of 20 events that will take place throughout 2018.

Mardi Gras Weekend to remember Kayne Finley
A Mardi Gras Weekend event will be held at the Port Orange YMCA on Saturday, Feb. 10, to honor and remember Kayne Finley, 17, who died after being diagnosed with DIPG-Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma pediatric brain cancer on November 23, 2016.
The event is hosted by the Cannonballs for Kayne Foundation, which was started to help individuals affected by a childhood brain cancer diagnosis.
