A 68-year-old woman was canvassing in Palm Coast's B-Section for the Democratic Party the evening of July 9 when a man exposed himself to her, she told a Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputy.
She knocked on a door, got no answer and was starting to walk away when her partner, who was driving their vehicle, told her someone was coming to the door.
She turned around and found herself face to face with an "older" man who was standing in the doorway, shirtless and wearing only jeans, with his genitals exposed, according to a Sheriff's Office case report.
She gasped "Oh my God," and the man responded, "Yeah, oh my God," according to the deputy's report on the woman's statement.
The woman walked away. She reported the incident to the Sheriff's Office on July 10.
A deputy went to the home where the woman said the incident had happened. A man who responded at the door — properly clothed — said he didn't know anything about the incident and that he hadn't had any visitors on July 9 or July 10.
"At this time it is unclear if (he) is the male who answered the door," a deputy wrote in the case report.
