Details: HT Production Company has partnered with the International Chili Society to bring this event to Palm Coast. Attendees will be the judges. For $20, the VIP package includes unlimited tasting of people’s choice chili, craft beer samples and an official vote for a winner. For $5, guests can get five samples. A portion of the proceeds to benefit Teens in Flight, a local nonprofit.

Details: Save Flagler Beach Pets will hold a meeting to discuss the dangers posed by bobcats. The public is invited. Speakers will include Susan Carroll-Douglas, a wildlife assistance biologist for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission; Gray Perkins, from community outreach at Animal Control; and Flagler Beach Mayor Linda Provencher.

Details: The African American Cultural Society, Inc., in conjunction with the Flagler County Branch of the NAACP, will host a 53rd-anniversary celebration of the Voting Rights Act. Signed on August 6, 1965, the Voting Rights Act is a landmark piece of federal legislation that prohibits racial discrimination in voting in the U.S. Speakers will include Kaiti Lenhart, Flagler County supervisor of elections, as well as a few young voters, to encourage greater citizen participation in elections and increased voter awareness.

Details: There will be lunch, music, video of the Bob Hope USO shows in Vietnam and guest speaker Melvin Morris, winner of the congressional medal of honor.
