Students in Flagler County have scored higher than the state average in all state-based testing for the 2017-18 school year, according to a news release by the Flagler County School District. Scores were released from the following assessments:

In addition, grade 5 science at Belle Terre Elementary jumped 15%, grade 4 ELA at Wadsworth Elementary increased by 6%, grade 8 science at Buddy Taylor and Indian Trails Middle increased by 8% and 12%, respectively. Geometry at Flagler Palm Coast High is up 16%, and grade 9 ELA at Matanzas High increased by 6%.
“I am very proud of our students, teachers, administrators and parents for putting in the hard work this past year,” Flagler Schools Superintendent James Tager said in a release. “We never want to be satisfied, but as we head into our next school year, I’m confident our students are primed to make additional gains.”
