Friday, March 9

Movies in the Park returns

When: 7:45 p.m.

Where: Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave.

Cost: Free

Details: The family-friendly movie “Alice Through the Looking Glass” will be shown on the big screen by the lake. Bring snacks, blankets, lawn chairs and bug spray. Visit palmcoastgov.com/movies or call 986-2323.

 

March 9-11

Palm Coast Seafood Festival

When: Friday at 6:30-9 p.m.; Saturday at noon to 7 p.m.; Sunday at noon to 7 p.m.

Where: Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave.

Cost: Adults $5 per day; Free for children under 12; $5 for kids zone

Details: The second-annual festival kicks off during Friday's Movie in the Park and continues through the weekend with vendors, kid zones, facepainting, pirates, live music and more. Visit palmcoastseafoodfestival.com.

 

Tuesday, March 13

Munchkin’ Creations

When: 10-11 a.m.

Where: Frieda Zamba Pool classroom, 339 Parkview Drive

Cost: $8

Details: Children 2-5, with their parents, will learn to make their own snack while also creating a unique piece of art. The $8 fee covers supplies. Pre-registration is required at least 48 hours in advance (while space is available) at palmcoastgov.com/register. Call 986-2323.

 

Wednesday, March 14

Playground Pals

When: 10-11 a.m.

Where: Waterfront Park, 150 Waterfront Park Road

Cost: Free

Details: At the Playground Pals program, parents join their young children for playground time, arts, crafts and games. Pre-registration is required at least 48 hours in advance (while space is available) at palmcoastgov.com/register.

 

Former POW to speak

When: two separate sessions at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Where: VFW Post 8696, 47 Old Kings Road N.

Cost: Free

Details: Flagler American Legion Post 115 is sponsoring a visit and speech by Ret. USAF Capt. Bill Robinson, who was the longest held enlisted POW ever in Vietnam for seven and a half years. He’s the author of “The Longest Rescue.” Tickets are available at the Veterans Services Office, located on the first floor of the Government Services Building, 1769 E. Moody Boulevard, Bunnell. Free tickets are also available through the following local veterans organizations: Veterans of Foreign Wars, The American Legion, Disabled American Veterans AMVETS, Military Officers Association of America and the Marine Corps League. Wisconsin Lutheran College choirs to perform in Palm Coast

Details: The Wisconsin Lutheran Choir and Chamber Choir of Wisconsin Lutheran College, under the direction of Dr. James A. Nowack, will perform a concert as part of the choirs’ 2018 Spring Concert Tour. Call 447-7979.

 

Monday, March 26

Live Like Cameron Golf Tournament

When: 9 a.m. shotgun start, registration opens at 7 a.m.

Where: Grand Haven Golf Club

Cost: $100 per player, $360 per four-some

Details: Live Like Cameron, a local nonprofit created in memory of Cameron Fulling, who battled brain cancer for seven years, is hosting the golf tournament fundraiser.
