Details: Tours of the newly expanded and renovated Community Center will be available to the public. The project tripled the size of the facility to 21,000 square feet and added a grand entrance and lobby area featuring a contemporary coastal design. Outside, kids can enjoy the modern playground shaded by historic oaks preserved during construction. The basketball court has been moved to the back to allow for more parking. The new trailhead with restrooms connects to the Linear Park trail. Part of the expanded parking lot will be shaded with a solar canopy. The schedule is as follows: 10:45 a.m. for ages 2 and under (empty eggs); 11:15 a.m. ages 3-5; 11:30 a.m. ages 3-5 (round 2); 12:15 p.m. ages 6-8; 12:30 p.m. ages 9-10. Additional activities for children include pictures with the Bunny (Polaroid photos available for $2 or take your own), magic shows, balloon art, carnival games, face-painting and the trackless train.
