After two months of investigation, Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputies and Flagler Beach Police Department officers searched a house in Flagler Beach and arrested five people on drug-related charges the morning of March 29.
The Police Department and the Sheriff's Office's Special Investigations Unit cooperated on the investigation after getting multiple complaints about heavy traffic and suspected drug use at the home at 135 Oak Lane, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.
When they searched the house, law enforcement officers found it "littered with used hypodermic needles," according to the news release. Flagler Beach's code enforcement department also responded to the home because of "deplorable" living conditions and possible safety hazards, according to the news release.
The individuals arrested are: Wayne Francis Paytas Jr., 30, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a new or legend drug, and possession of cannabis; Brandon Kyler Paytas, 26, charged with possession of a schedule V controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of cannabis; Timothy Ryan Paytas, 28, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia; Deidre Janeth Tilelli, DOB 39, charged with possession of a new or legend drug and possession of drug paraphernalia; and Nicholas Nehemia Nock, 31, charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
“Another handful of poison peddlers are off the streets and in the Green Roof Inn where they belong,” Sheriff Rick Staly said in the news release. “Let this be a lesson that if you try to sell your drugs in Flagler County, all agencies will work together to get you off our streets and into jail.”
Further charges are pending, according to the news release.
