Ormond Beach resident Kaleb Scharmahorn reached the end on his journey on The Voice Tuesday night, as he was eliminated along with three others the week before the show's finale.
"This is not the defining moment," said Kelly Clarkson, his coach on the show. "The defining moment is what you do after this show and I will be there with you."
On Monday night's show, Scharmahorn, known as Kaleb 'Lee' on the show, sang a duet with fellow Team Blake contestant Pryor Baird. Together they performed a mash-up of Blake Shelton and Trace Adkin's "Hillbilly Bone" and Brooks and Dunn's "Hillbilly Deluxe." For his solo performance, Scharmahorn performed "It is Well with My Soul," a traditional hymn first composed by Philip Bliss.
Scharmahorn was part of the middle three that remained Tuesday after the bottom two contestants were eliminated. He sang Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Simple Man" for the instant save. Along with Scharmahorn, Baird, Rayshun LaMarr and Jackie Foster were also sent home.
