The Veterans Museum and Education Center recently received a much-needed donation of free-standing air conditioning units thanks to Robert Buck, President and COO of Top Build.
According to Joe Sicinski, who is on the board of directors for the museum, Buck had donated the funds after the two men had discussed the issues with cooling the upper part of the old building. Sicinski said the top floor, where the museum is located, can become uncomfortable on summer days.
With the donated funds, the board was able to purchase not one but four air conditioning units, which Sicinski said has helped with the inside temperature.
"We knew what the cost of the units were and I thought, gee, that was very nice," Sicinski said. "I did not expect them to move so quickly."
