Port Orange VFW commander receives Governor’s Veterans Service Award

Joe Rosa, the commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3282, was recently awarded the Governor’s Veterans Service Award for his time served in the U.S. military. 

Rosa was presented the award by Gov. Rick Scott on Tuesday, May 22. A Vietnam veteran, Rosa served in the Air Force until 1972. 

The award is presented to Florida residents who have honorably served as a members of the U.S. Armed Forces, U.S. Coast Guard,  U.S. Reserve Forces, Florida National Guard, U.S. Reserve Forces or Merchant Mariners.
