Ormond police officer injured in motorcycle accident

His injuries are considered "non-life threatening."

An Ormond Beach Police officer was taken to the hospital after his motorcycle collided with a red Toyotota pickup truck around 12:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, police report. 

The accident happened near South Ridgewood Avenue and Rogers Park Drive. The officer, whose identity was not released, was taken by ambulance to Halifax Health in Daytona. His condition is listed as "non-life threatening," police report. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.

Six months ago, another OBPD officer collided with a truck. 

Police requested Florida Highway Patrol to investigate the crash. This is a developing story.
