Nov. 14

Election postmortem analysis luncheon

When: 11:30 a.m.

Where: Hammock Beach Resort, 200 Ocean Crest Drive

Cost: $40

Details: The Flagler Tiger Bay Club board of directors will host an Election Postmortem Analysis luncheon to provide a balanced analysis of the midterm elections and what it means to Flagler County. Flagler County Supervisor of Elections Kaiti Lenhart will offer an analysis of voting patterns, and Daytona Beach News-Journal editor Pat Rice will discuss what it all means. This event is open to Flagler Tiger Bay members and their guests. Those interested in joining are asked to register at http://www.FlaglerTigerBayClub.com. Registration ends at 4 p.m. Nov. 11.

 

Nov. 15

Inspired Mic night

When: 6 p.m.

Where: Hidden Treasure Raw Bar and Grill, 820 Moody Lane, Flagler Beach

Cost: $12.50 online; $15 at the door

Details: Each month, 14 individuals present seven minutes of their creative performance, ranging from poetry to stand-up comedy and everything in between. The first performer opens at 6:30 p.m. The ticket includes one drink and entry into a drawing with a prize of $25 cash or a $50 gift certificate to Hidden Treasure restaurant. Saturday, Nov. 17

Remote Control Flight Training

When: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: 1100 Old Kings Road S.

Cost: Free

Details: Flagler Radio Aero Modelers are holding this event for people to try their hand at flying remote-controlled aircraft. Planes and instructors will be provided. Open to children, teens, parents and grandparents.

 

Nov. 19-21

Fall fun camp

When: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway

Cost: $25/day

Details: Palm Coast Parks and Recreation is hosting the camp for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. There will be a variety of age-appropriate, themed activities, such as arts and crafts, stories, recreational games and nature hikes. Campers must bring their own lunch and snack each day. For extended care until 6 p.m., it’s an additional $10. Registration is required at least 48 hours in advance (while space available) at http://www.parksandrec.fun/camps.

 

Thanksgiving break tennis camp

When: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Belle Terre Park, 339 Parkview Drive

Cost: $105 for the three-day camp, or $40/day

Details: The camp, for youth ages 6-13, will use team games and activities to introduce campers to tennis and develop athletic skills while fostering a love for the sport. Campers should come with athletic clothes and shoes, water bottle, sunscreen, lunch, snacks and drinks. A sibling discount is available when the registrations for two or more siblings is done in the same transaction on the city’s CivicRec registration system.

 

Nov. 24

Special Olympics charity bingo

When: 6 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Elks Lodge No. 2709, 53 Old Kings Road N.

Cost: $30 in advance; $35 at the door

Details: Flagler County Special Olympics is hosting a charity bingo dinner to raise money to provide sports training and competitions for people with intellectual disabilities, as well as individuals on the autism spectrum in Flagler County. Tickets includes a fish fry dinner and 10 games. Prizes include certificates to dine at local restaurants, purses, golf and jewelry, and a raffle winner will earn a three-day/two-night ocean view accommodation at the Hammock Beach Resort valued at $700.
