FPC track's Jacob Miley announces commitment to Gators

Miley transferred to FPC from Matanzas before the start of his senior year.

Flagler Palm Coast sprinter Jacob Miley is going to be competing at the college level next year.

Miley, who transferred to FPC High School for his senior year after three years at crosstown rival Matanzas, announced his commitment to run track for the University of Florida. He broke the news via his Twitter profile on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 14.

Miley has a range of talent in running track, including in sprint events and mid-distance events. He holds a personal record of 1:52.54 for the 800-meter run. He also ran cross country this year for the Bulldogs to improve his stamina.
