Friday, Nov. 16

Coastal Wildlife 101

When: 10-11 a.m.

Where: Environmental Discovery Center, 601 Division Ave.

Details: Learn about coastal wildlife with Jennifer Jordans and discover sea turtles, shorebirds, gopher tortoises, marine mammals, and more. Space is limited. Call 615-7081.

Saturday, Nov. 17

Bear Creek Annual Craft Fair

When: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Bear Creek Clubhouse #2, 6 Bear Creek Path

Details: More than 20 arts and craft vendors. Raffles, bake sales, food and drink. Proceeds to go to Hospice Pet Peace of Mind. 

10th-annual A1A garage sale

When: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: A1A corridor

Details: A 150-mile garage sale along A1A from Fernandina Beach to Ponce Inlet. Visit www.ScenicA1A.org

Riverfest Seafood Festival

When: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17; 10 a.m to 4 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 18

Where: Rockefeller Gardens and Fortunato Park, 25 Riverside Drive

Details: Back for the 10th year, Riverfest is bringing an expanded selection of food, a pirate ship, vendors, live music and more. Free admission and parking. Presented by Ormond Mainstreet.

Blast to the Past Harvest Festival

When: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 18

Where: 1065 N. U.S. 1

Details: This festival is an official U.S. Marine Toys for Tots toy drive. It will include 50s and 60s themed classic fair games, like bobbing for apples, dart balloons and more. Hay rides available. Drop off toys inside Hang Dawg Saloon. Parking costs $5 and game tickets are $1 each.

Tomoka Remembers Its Natives

When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Recreation Hall at Tomoka State Park, 2099 N. Beach St.

Details: Celebrate Native American Heritage Month. The park is hosting Muskogee Creek Indian Tribe member Jim Sawgrass, who will be sharing his knowledge of Florida's native tribes. See authentic native american displays and dance. Entrance into park costs $5 per vehicle.

Monday, Nov. 19

DAR meeting

When: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Where: Anderson-Price Memorial Building, 42 N. Beach St.

Details: Featured speaker, Linda Vivian, will share how to choose a DNA test. Cost for luncheon is $15. RSVP by calling Cathy Hubka at 453-6839 or email [email protected]

Wednesday, Nov. 21

Sewing classes

When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Hobby Lobby, 11000 Cornerstone Blvd.

Details: Taught every Wednesday by Usha Lakshmanan. Learn to make bags, purses, key fobs and more. Costs $20 per class. Students take home a finished project each time. Call or text 627-1844.
