Someone broke into Palm Coast Lanes early the morning of Monday, Nov. 26, and stole two video gaming systems worth a combined $6,000. Each of the gaming systems also had about $800 in cash inside.

A Flagler Sheriff's Office sergeant was driving on Old Kings Road at about 5:40 a.m. Nov. 26 when he heard an alarm sounding from the bowling alley.

He turned into the parking lot, and saw that a glass door to the building was smashed and slightly open. Other deputies were called to the scene, cleared the building — no one was inside — and contacted the assistant manager, who arrived and pulled up the bowling alley's security camera video.

The video showed that at 5:33 a.m., a man in jeans and a light-colored zip-up jacket kicked the glass door until it shattered. He crawled inside, went straight to the alley's two Merit Megatouch gaming systems — each worth about $3,000 — unplugged them, and then walked them, one after the other, out through the door he'd smashed. The damage to the door was estimated at about $700.

The burglar left in what looked like an older white or silver truck.
