Christmas weekend Dec. 1-2 in Port Orange: concert, parade, Santa, hayrides

The two-day event has the the theme of Christmas movies.

The 2018 Port Orange Holiday Celebration is a two-day event organized by Port Orange Parks and Recreation. 

This year's celebration will kick off 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, in the City Center with “Christmas in the Park.” Saturday events include a Christmas concert, official lighting of the City Center, carriage and hayrides (courtesy of Cracker Creek), and a visit from Santa. The Christmas concert will begin at 6 in the Kenneth W. Parker Amphitheater, and Santa will arrive at 7pm.

On Sunday, Dec. 2, the party continues with the 41st Annual Holiday Parade in the theme of Christmas movies. At 1 p.m., both the westbound and eastbound lanes of Dunlawton Avenue will close from Nova Road to Powers Avenue. The parade will start promptly at 2 on Dunlawton and will head east. The parade will finish on Spruce Creek Road.
