Saturday, Oct. 13

Playhouse Readers' Theater

When: 10 a.m. to noon

Where: Flagler Playhouse, 301 East Moody Blvd., Bunnell

Cost: Free

Details: Are you a senior that loves the theater? The Flagler Playhouse readers' theatre is show biz without the stress. Individuals perform while comfortably seated and there is no memorization required. Ages 50 and older, regardless of experience, welcome.

Paint with a firefighter

When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Painting with a Twist, 250 Palm Coast Parkway NE, Unit 207

Cost: $25 per seat

Details: Children ages 7 and up (with their parents) are invited to paint a firehouse Dalmatian with members of the Palm Coast Fire Department, in recognition of Fire Prevention Month. Visit https://bit.ly/2O4IwnY for tickets.

 

Spaghetti dinner

When: 5-8 p.m.

Where: VFW, 47 Old Kings Road N.

Cost: Tickets are $10; $5 for age 12 and under

Details: The public is invited to a fundraiser for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8696. The meal includes spaghetti, salad, bread and dessert. Call 446-8696.

 

Praise night

When: 6-9 p.m.

Where: Bunnell City Hall, 200 S. Church St., Bunnell

Cost: Free

Details: The event will feature evangelists Joseph and Mary Grosso as the hosts, and Addie Starke will give a testimony. There will be worship and dance praise, as well as refreshments. Call the Grossos at 283-8660.

 

Monday, Oct. 15

Meet the candidates dinner

When: 5:30-8 p.m.

Where: Hammock Beach Resort, 200 Ocean Crest Drive

Cost: $40/ticket for the public

Details: The nonpartisan Flagler Tiger Bay Club will host a meet the candidates dinner, with guest speaker Nancy Soderberg. A candidate Hob Nob will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Ten local and state candidates will be available to meet personally and answer your questions. Both Congressional District 6 candidates have been invited. Flagler County Supervisor of Elections Katie Lynhart will provide an update and statistics from the primary election and upcoming deadlines and dates for the General Election. Food Truck Tuesday to benefit Family Life Center

When: 5-9 p.m.

Where: next to Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave.

Cost: price of food

Details: Attend the next Food Truck Tuesday to support the work the Family Life Center provides for victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault in Flagler County. Thursday, Oct. 18

Inspired Mic Night

When: 6 p.m.

Where: Hidden Treasure Raw Bar and Grill, 820 Moody Lane, Flagler Beach

Details: Michael Ray King announces the return of The Inspired Mic to Flagler County. Three performances are scheduled for Oct. 18, Nov. 15 and Dec. 20. FCAL’s 40th anniversary luncheon
