Saturday, Sept. 8

Learn about the amendments

When: 10 a.m. to noon

Where: Fair Trade Café, 160 Cypress Point Parkway, unit 103

Cost: Free

Details: The 13 Florida Constitutional Amendments on the November ballot will be presented by the non-partisan League of Women Voters at this event organized by the Flagler Democratic Women’s Club. It’s open to the public. Visit https://bit.ly/2opqihC for more information.

 

AAUW monthly meeting

When: 11 a.m.

Where: Pine Lakes Golf Club, 400 Pine Lakes Blvd. N.

Cost: Lunch is available for $17 per person

Details: The American Association of University Women Flagler will host its monthly meeting, beginning its 35th year of advancing women’s and girls’ education in Flagler County. FCAL Second Saturday

When: 6-8:30 p.m.

Where: FCAL, 160 Cypress Point Parkway, unit C207

Cost: Free

Details: The Flagler County Art League will host its monthly Second Saturday evening of art, wine and mingling, with an artwork theme of "Nature's Glory." 

 

Monday, Sept. 10

Women’s self defense

When: 6-8 p.m. 

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE

Cost: Free

Details: Sgt. Michael Lutz from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office will teach you skills that will make you more aware of your surroundings, as well as methods to protect yourself and safety tips to implement right away. Participants must attend all three classes on Mondays, Sept. 10, 17 and 24. Free but please pre-register by 6 p.m. Sept. 8 at https://www.parksandrec.fun/adults. Wednesday, Sept. 12

Flagler County REC meeting

When: 6-8 p.m.

Where: Pine Lakes Golf Club, 400 Pine Lakes Blvd. N.

Cost: Free

Details: Flagler County republicans and Republican Executive Committee members are invited for this monthly meeting. Social hour starts at 5 p.m. For more information, contact 283-5242.

 

Thursday, Sept. 13

Inspired Mic

When: 6-9 p.m.

Where: The Europa, 101 Palm Harbor Parkway

Cost: $12.50 in advance; $15 at the door

Details: On the third Thursday of month, The Inspired Mic welcomes guests for an evening of performances. Visit http://www.theinspiredmicus.com to buy tickets. Each ticket will be entered into a drawing at the end of the evening, and the top prize is a $75 gift certificate to Borillo’s Pizzeria or $50 cash.

Movie in the Park

Saturday, Sept. 15

Meatball dinner

When: 5 p.m.

Where: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway

Cost: $5 tickets for children 8 and under; $10 for anyone else

Details: The St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Men's Club invites you to a full ziti and meatball dinner at the church hall with serving starting at 6 p.m.. Doors open at 5 p.m. Soda, wine and beer will be available. Tickets will be sold after all masses Saturdays, Sept. 1 and 8 and Sundays, Sept. 2 and 9, and at the rectory office.
