After dropping the first two games of the season, the Buccaneers got back on tack in Week 3, capturing their first win of the season by taking down a tough Treasure Coast team 36-22 on Friday, Sept. 7, at Treasure Coast High School.
Junior quarterback Taron Keith connected with senior two-way player Andrew Plummer on a 12-yard pass for the first score of the game.
Mainland running back D'Andre McMillian had another spectacular night, scoring three touchdowns, including two in the second quarter.
Treasure Coast pulled to with 6 points with 5:30 left in the game, but an interception by defensive back Kameron Lee, his second of the night, and a 55-yard touchdown run by Keith sealed the win for the Buccaneers.
