That was Flagler Palm Coast's regular season record under head coach Travis Roland prior to the Bulldogs' Week 3 game against Seminole. Regardless, the Seminoles handed the Bulldogs their first regular season loss, and their second loss ever, with Roland as coach in a 21-0 drubbing on Friday, Sept. 7, at Seminole High School.
In addition, it was the first time the Bulldogs (2-1) were shut out since Oct. 27, 2016 — a 55-0 loss to Mandarin.
The game was scoreless after the first quarter, but the Seminoles tacked on their first touchdown with 6:04 left in the first half. The Seminoles scored again in the third and fourth quarters.
The Bulldogs rushed for 190 yards and got in the red zone six times. However, the Bullodgs missed a field goal, had another field goal block and failed to convert several times on third and fourth downs.
"I would love to see the stats of teams who rush for 190 but don't score any points," Roland said. "We're going to have to be consistent. We have to focus for an entire game. If we do that, we'll be fine."
