Seabreeze has struggled to keep its games competitive so far this season. The Sandcrabs had a bye week in Week 2 but were blown out 49-7 by Eau Gallie on the night of Friday, Sept. 7, at Eau Gallie High School. It was the second-straight game the Sandcrabs gave up over 40 points. They lost to Spruce Creek 42-0 in Week 1.
Sophomore quarterback Isaiah Shirley did not play Friday night. Shirley injured his ankle against Titusville during the preseason, and Sandcrabs coach Troy Coke kept him on the sideline due to field conditions. Chase Verble started at QB against Eau Gallie.
The Sandcrabs struggled to tackle, had a difficult time moving the ball on offense and had two punts blocked.
"It's kind of the same old story," Coke said. "Too many mistakes."
