Palm Coast's third entertainment business is set to open some time in November, according to Steve Sherman, the advising manager of Twisted Minds Entertainment LLC.
Twisted Minds Entertainment, which aims to open some time between Nov. 1 and Nov. 15 at 1000 Palm Coast Parkway, will feature Flagler County's first escape rooms. Escape rooms are a physical adventure game where players solve a series of puzzles and riddles using clues, hints and strategy to complete the objective at hand. Players are given a set time to unveil the secret plot that is hidden in the room.
There are currently escape rooms in Ormond Beach and Daytona Beach.
"They're great for team building, birthday parties, even date nights," Steve Sherman said.
Steve Sherman and his wife Jessica Sherman, the owner, experienced their first escape room in 2016 after traveling to Tennessee to escape Hurricane Matthew. It grew into a hobby, and eventually, Jessica Sherman decided she wanted to leave the work she was doing and open her own business.
Steve Sherman said they plan to have 10 to 22 rooms, each one with their own theme. Those interested will be allowed to beta test a room for $29.97.
