Flagler Palm High School instructor Angela Biggs chose senior Stephen DiMaria as the September Student Artist of the Month.
Q+A with DiMaria, from Biggs:
Inspiration for artwork:
“I am inspired by the natural beauty in nature and eliciting emotions from the photographs I take. Mrs. Biggs, my photography teacher, has opened my eyes to the world of photography and pushes me to be the best photographer I can be. In the future, I hope to be a professional photographer and have my photos published.”
Biggs said she’s enjoyed teaching DiMaria for the last three years.
“His images are well composed, and he has a precise eye for design,” she said. “His black and white photos reveal subtle expression and originality. Though Stephen is very talented, he is a humble person who never lets his abilities go to his head.”
