Colorful liquid and powdered paint filled the air at Princess Place Preserve as 70 locals took part in the First Baptist Christian Academy's Crusader Color Run on Saturday, Sept. 29.
Jennifer Douglass, the director of advancement, said this was the first color run the school has held, but staff hopes to make it an annual event at Princess Place.
"We wanted to do a good athletics fundraiser," Douglass said. "We wanted something that was for the community, and we wanted something to represent our school."
Public Relations Director Stephanie Sumler said it was a great day for everyone involved.
"During the race, there were four different color stations: You get sprayed with yellow, red, green and blue throughout the course. And then once everybody comes back and finishes, we have the color explosion at the end."
The $1,200 fundraised will help support the school's athletics department.
