Accident on Dunlawton in Port Orange sends man to hospital

Alan Grisetti, of Daytona Beach, was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center after failing to yield at the intersection of Dunlawton Avenue and Taylor Branch Road on April 10.

Traffic on Dunlawton Avenue moved slowly on Wednesday, April 10, after a Port Orange man crashed into the back of another man's vehicle after he failed to yield to him.

According to a report by Port Orange Police, Alan Grisetti, of Daytona Beach, merged right off of Taylor Branch Road while failing to yield to Vincent Waidman, who was heading east on Dunlawton Avenue and approaching the intersection. The accident happened around 2:14 p.m. The Port Orange Fire Department responded to the call and gave medical attention to Grisetti, who was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach with non life-threatening injuries.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage. Grisetti was charged with failure to yield to vehicle in intersection.
