Two terrier and American Staffordshire mix dogs have been spotlighted as Halifax Humane Society's adoptable Pets of the Week.
The first is Jovi, a 3-year-old brown and black dog who came to HHS as a stray. He was nervous of all the attention and noise, but the volunteers love walking him and spending time socializing out in the dog park. Jovi enjoys being petted and going to new places, and is looking for an owner who wants to be loved and show him how the world can be a safe and exciting place. His adoption fee has been waived, as Jovi is a Dolly's Dream dog. He comes with $400 worth of food, training, a crate, a collar, leash, toys and more.
The second dog is 1-year-old grey and white Lilo, who is naturally playful, curious and trusting. She loves being walks and then curling up with her potential owner. Her adoption fee costs $70, and she has been with the HHS since March 22.
To adopt Jovi or Lilo, or to see other adoptable animals, visit the Halifax Humane Society's main campus, located at 2364 LPGA Blvd., or call 274-4703.
