The Sandcrabs gave up 4 touchdown runs to Spruce Creek running back Marvin Scott in the Sandcrabs' 63-8 loss to the Hawks on the night of Friday, Aug. 23, at Spruce Creek High School.
"He's a hard guy to stop," Seabreeze head coach Pat Brown said of Scott. "You can see why he's one of the top players in the area and one of the top players in the state."
Seabreeze was able to march down the field and score on a 3-yard pass from Thomas Davidson to Trevon Phillips in the second quarter. The Sandcrabs (0-1) also scored on the 2-point conversion.
"We've got to take ownership of getting the boys prepared for the game," Brown said. "I thought we had a good game plan, but I want to make sure going forward that the guys are fully confident and comfortable with it so they can execute it."
