Breaking News: Port Orange woman stabbed multiple times; man detained for questioning

Police were called for an injured Port Orange woman who had been stabbed multiple times.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. today, Aug. 29, Port Orange police responded to a call about an injured woman who had been stabbed multiple times in the Coconut Palm Circle area of Port Orange.

The victim was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach. Her condition has not been reported.

A man named Carlos Yansi is being detained and held for questioning.

Police report there is no threat to the public at this time.
