The Flagler Humane Society's Christmas Paws fundraiser is being sponsored by Steel Beauty Hair Spa through Saturday, Dec. 21 at 121 Flagler Plaza Drive.
Participants will earn a raffle ticket per every $10 donation to qualify for a gift basket. A drawing will be held Dec 21, and you don't have to be present to win.
Community Cats of Palm Coast has announced the opening of its thrift store Tuesday, Dec. 10, and is seeking volunteers. The store is located in the Island Walk Shopping Center at 250 Palm Coast Parkway Northeast, Suite 403. Thanks to donations from supporters, and racks and tables donated by Belk, the store will be ready to open Tuesday, Dec. 10. Store hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

Now through Monday, Dec. 16, Flagler community members can participate in the Be a Santa to a Senior program and see Christmas gifts reach senior citizens by choosing an ornament from Christmas trees at the following locations:
Intracoastal Construction has welcomed Faith Stiles, its newest sales manager.
Stiles was born and raised in Arkansas and moved to Flagler Beach four years ago.
“Faith has a passion for people, service and all things real estate,” said Robbie Richmond, Intracoastal Construction’s owner builder. “Faith knows the importance of hard work and trust as it is demonstrated in her quality customer service and her ability to connect with clients." Faith holds her State of Florida license in both real estate and nursing.
“I find it fulfilling to watch homes come to life that will house families and create memories – I feel truly blessed to be a small part of that,” said Stiles, who holds a license in both real estate and nursing.
Her duties include customer satisfaction and working with Intracoastal Construction’s operations manager and construction manager to create bid proposals and present them to future buyers to secure home construction sales.

Low-interest Economic Injury Disaster Loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration are available to Florida small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small aquaculture businesses and private nonprofit organizations affected by Hurricane Dorian from Aug. 28 through Sept. 9.
Acting SBA Administrator Christopher Pilkerton made the loans available in response to a letter from Gov. Ron DeSantis on Nov. 6, requesting a disaster declaration by the SBA. Flagler is one of many counties covered by the declaration. Eligible entities may qualify for loans up to $2 million.
“The SBA is strongly committed to providing the people of Florida with the most effective and customer-focused response possible to assist small businesses with federal Economic Injury Disaster Loans,” said Pilkerton. “Getting businesses and communities up and running after a disaster is our highest priority at SBA.”
Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at DisasterLoan.sba.gov.
Businesses and individuals may also obtain information and loan applications by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955 (1-800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing), or by emailing [email protected]. Loan applications can also be downloaded at www.sba.gov. Completed applications should be mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.
The deadline to return economic injury applications is Aug. 13, 2020.
