Flagler Palm Coast swimmer and five-time state champion Micayla Cronk continues to add to her already stellar trophy case. Cronk won the 200-yard freestyle at Junior Nationals on Saturday, Dec. 14, in Atlanta.
Matanzas' cheerleading team brought home a silver medal from the East Coast Championship on Dec. 14.
Matanzas girls cross country's Kelly Steffens announced where she's going to be running in college, and she's decided to stay close to home. Steffens, a senior at Matanzas, signed her national letter of intent with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach.
Pirates boys lacrosse's Douglas Bentley is going to be playing the game in college next year. Bentley, a senior, signed his national letter of intent to play lacrosse for Benedictine College. Located in Atchison, Kansas, the Ravens play in the NAIA's Heart of America Athletic Conference.
Matanzas' girls soccer team has continued with its hot start to the 2019-20 season. The Pirates won seven of their first eight games — one game resulted in a tie.
