Pollo Tropical has permanently closed their Port Orange location at 1748 Dunlawton Ave.

An apology note left by the company on the buildings apologizes for the inconvenience and asks people to frequent the Pollo Tropical location at 1446 W. International Speedway Blvd. in Daytona Beach.

Port Orange city public information officer Christine Martindale said after Pollo Tropical closed, the city placed a stop work order on the property due to it being painted in a unapproved exterior color. The property is owned by Paul Holub of Holub Development, who is currently marketing the site for retail use.

This story was updated at 5:08 p.m. to correct the spelling of Christine Martindale's name and clarify that the stop work order came after Pollo Tropical closed.
