One person dead after U.S. 1 crash

The crash happened in the 900 block of N. U.S. 1 on Sunday, July 28.

A person died on Sunday, July 28, after a vehicle ran off North U.S. 1, Ormond Beach police reported.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was a passenger in a crash that happened in the 900 block of the highway around 8:08 p.m. Only one vehicle was involved in the crash, according to a press release. The victim died at the scene. 

This is the seventh traffic-related fatality this year. Police said the investigation regarding the crash is ongoing.
