Pedestrian hit, killed in Port Orange

A pedestrian was hit and killed in the early morning hours on Saturday, June 1.

On Saturday, June 1, around 1 a.m. a pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on the 5300 block of Ridgewood Avenue. The driver was traveling southbound on Ridgewood Avenue, according to the report.

The name of the pedestrian is not being released at this time.

The incident is under investigation by Port Orange Traffic Homicide Investigators and The Port Orange Police Department requests anyone with information about the crash contact the police department at 386-506-5801 or the Traffic Homicide Unit at 386-506-5840.
