Four dogs have been featured as this week's Halifax Humane Society Adoptable Pets of the Week.
The first is Summer, a 3-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix dog with a black and white coat. She is a great companion dog, and loves to snuggle and play. She has been with the Halifax Humane Society since March 1. Her adoption fee has been waived thanks to a Dolly's Dream Dog grant.
The second is Moana, a 4-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix dog with a grey and white coat. She is a graduate of Halifax Humane Society's Prison Pups N Pals program, in which inmates are taught how to care and train the dog by the society's animal behavior manager, in the hopes the inmate is later able to pursue a job in animal services. Moana is described as a shy, yet charming canine searching for a patient owner with a relaxed lifestyle. She has been with the Halifax Humane Society since April 24. Her adoption fee costs $70.
The third is Kanga, a 2-year-old Labrador retriever mix dog with a brown coat. She has been with the Halifax Humane Society since May 18. Her adoption fee costs $70.
The fourth is Piglet, a 6-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix dog with a black and white coat. He has been with the Halifax Humane Society since May 11. His adoption fee has been waived thanks to a Dolly's Dream Dog grant.
To adopt any of these animals, or see others, visit the Halifax Humane Society's main campus, located at 2364 LPGA Blvd., or call 274-4703.
