Anthony Freda, a 17-year-old student at Flagler Palm Coast High School, won his first fight by unanimous decision at the Sugar Bert Boxing tournament on Sunday, June 16, in Punta Gorda. His win qualified him for the championship round, which will be held in Kissimmee. "Boxers don't play they fight," his mother, Lucille Freda, wrote in an Instagram post, "and my son earned it!"
Matanzas High School's cheerleading team volunteered at the FYAA's Flagler Titans Cheer camp on the morning of Saturday, June 15, at Wadsworth Park. There were over 40 young girls who attended the camp.
The Bulldogs' track and field team competed in the 29th-annual New Balance Nationals Outdoor on June 13-16 at Aggie Stadium in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Bulldogs finished 12th in the nation with a time of 3:18.42 in the 4x400-meter relay.
Flagler Palm Coast girls soccer team is hosting its annual Go To Goal Soccer Camp on June 22-25 at FPC High School. The camp was established in 2001 by Bulldogs coach Pete Hald. The camp is open to girls in grades seven and eight.
