It was a big day for Palm Coast Little League’s All-Star teams on Saturday, June 29. Several teams competed in their respective district and sectional tournaments, with multiple Palm Coast teams advancing to the next stage.
Palm Coast’s 12-and-under softball team swept Deltona in back-to-back games on Saturday, defeating the Timberwolves 17-2 and 17-1 to advance to the sectional tournament, which will be held in St. Augustine.
Palm Coast’s 10-and-under lost both of its sectional tournament games to Baker County.
However, the junior softball team advanced to the state tournament for the first time after winning their sectional games 19-0 and 17-3.
The 11-and-under softball team also advanced to the state tournament, winning their sectional games 18-5 and 22-3. The core of this team was also on the 10-and-under team that went to the state tournament last season.
