Bunnell Bonanza
When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. tasting starts at 1 p.m.

Details: The second-annual event is a family-friendly tradition located in the heart of Bunnell. Tasting will be 1-2:30 p.m. The cooking winners will be announced at 3 p.m. Contact [email protected] to enter the cook-off. There will be live music, bounce houses, kids zone and beer garden with French fries made fresh from locally grown potatoes.

Details: With the retirement of Pastor Judy Mattson coming on May 31, John Johnson will be installed as the new pastor on May 19. Johnson was a long-time member of Christ Lutheran Church before being called to the ministry. He has been attending seminary with the Institute of Lutheran Theology and has completed a one-year internship at Christ Lutheran Church. Christ Lutheran invites everyone to join them for the installation ceremony to be held during worship. There will be a light luncheon served after the installation service.

Details: On the agenda for the Flagler Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution is a video on the Revolutionary War Battle "Siege of Yorktown," produced by The U.S. National Park Service. The meeting is open to the public. Call 597-3238.

Cost: $1 for seniors and youth age 17 and under; $2 for adults
Details: At the event, certified pool staff will lead activities to teach safety in and around the pool. Activities will include pool games, mini learn-to-swim classes and water safety information. Participants will also watch life safety staff demonstrate water rescues. The fee is $1 for seniors and youth age 17 and under. It is $2 for adults.

Details: “Celebrating Our Community Stars” recognizes individuals, organizations and businesses that help light up our community and make it a special place to live. The Rotary Club of Palm Coast will host its second-annual event, with emcee Eddie Herrera, CEO of Alliance Financial Partners. Nominations are open until July 1. Awardees will be selected from nominations submitted to the Rotary Club of Palm Coast and will be chosen by the club’s Award Selection Committee.
