Creative Bazaar

When: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Arts Foundation, 1500 Central Ave.

Cost: Free admission

Library blowout book sale

When: 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Where: Flagler County Public Library, 2500 Palm Coast Parkway NW

Cost: Price of goods

Details: The biggest outdoor book sale of the year is being planned by the Friends of the Library.

Items on sale will include hardcover books, trade paperbacks, mass market paperbacks, CDs, DVDs, audio books, book sets, children’s books, puzzles and activity books and more. It will be in the west parking lot of the library. June 8 is a rain date for the sale.

 

Tuesday, June 4

Flagler Sportfishing Club meeting

When: 7 p.m.

Where: VFW Post 8696, 47 Old Kings Road N.

Cost: Free

Details: Swap and shop at 7 p.m., general meeting at 7:30 p.m. and guest speaker at 8:15 p.m. Learn skills to catch king mackerel and tarpon from Captain Shane, a North Florida area man who is familiar with the local waters.

 

Daytona Tortugas Youth Baseball Clinic

When: 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Where: Indian Trails Sports Complex, 5455 Belle Terre Parkway

Cost: $37/person

Details: The Daytona Tortugas will be teaching kids, ages 7-13, skills to improve their ball game in this coed baseball clinic. Grab your glove and bat and learn from the pros. Friday, June 7

Portugal Day flag-raising

When: 6 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast City Hall, 160 Lake Ave.

Cost: Free

Details: The city of Palm Coast invites the public to a Portugal Day flag-raising ceremony, presented by the city and the Portuguese American Cultural Center. Event Organizer John Furao will emcee, and Mayor Milissa Holland will welcome guests to the ceremony. During the event, the flags of the United States and Portugal will be raised in celebration of Portugal Day. Saddle Up

When: 4-9 p.m.

Where: Caldwell Dairy Barn at Florida Agricultural Museum, 7900 Old Kings Road N.

Cost: $20/single; $35 couple

Details: The Flagler County Republican Club will host the event, with a barbecue dinner, live auctions, third-annual Blue Ribbon cake and pie contest, surprise guests and more. Palm Coast Shredders: Teen Mountain Biking Program

When: 6-7 p.m. Tuesdays, June 4-25

Where: locations around Palm Coast

Cost: $5 for the four-week session

Details: Each class will rotate locations between Linear Park, Mala Compra and Graham Swamp. Check the website for exact locations by date. Participants ages 12-18 will learn basic off-road skills, explore trails, improve fitness and understand teamwork and goal-setting.
