A key figure at AdventHealth Palm Coast for 15 years, Dr. Martin Kubiet died Oct. 31.

"Dr. Kubiet will be terribly missed," hospital spokeswoman Lindsay Cashio wrote in an email to the Palm Coast Observer. "A skilled pulmonologist in our community, Dr. Kubiet was board certified in pulmonary disease, internal medicine and critical care, and had practiced at AdventHealth Palm Coast for more than 15 years. He was our cardiopulmonary medical director and associate medical director for our hospice care program."

"Our heartfelt prayers go out to Dr. Kubiet’s family and friends, especially his wife Leslee and two sons."

Kubiet graduated from University Of Florida College of Medicine in 1989.

He was selected as the medical director of the hospital’s cardiopulmonary department in 2016. At that time, according to a press release, the hospital performed approximately 10,000 inpatient cardiopulmonary treatments and tests per month and 2,000 outpatient cardiopulmonary treatments and tests per month.
