Kix Country Fest, featuring Luke Bryan Tribute Show, Eli Mosley, Southern Chaos, and Hannah Anders on the live music stage, also was a hit with children. There were horses to pet and pig races, along food trucks.
Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly was also part of the event, challenging participants to beat his time of reaction and precision, cowboy style, and support a cause in the quick-draw competition. By the time we spoke, two people had defeated him, a police academy student and a trained officer.
Kirk Keller from Flagler Broadcasting and event organizer was excited about the turnout. "This is a great large family, safe, and fun event. It is the kind of events Flagler county needs," he said.
