Seabreeze (4-3), winners of its last two games, lost to New Smyrna Beach 13-3 the night of Friday, Oct. 11, at the New Smyrna Beach Sports Complex.
The Sandcrabs' defense came to play Friday night, keeping the score 6-3 in the Barracudas' favor at halftime.
The Barracudas scored the game-deciding touchdown with 4:46 to play in the fourth quarter.
The Sandcrabs were held back by several key penalties that prevented them from scoring, including a 45-yard run by 210-pound running back Otis Walker that was called back due to holding.
However, Seabreeze head coach Pat Brown was still pleased with his team's effort.
"It was a great game," he said. "Our boys played hard."
