From posters to friendly competitions, Riverbend Academy students showed their appreciation during the fourth-annual Back the Blue event on Friday, Oct. 11.
Among those represented at the event were the Volusia County Sheriff's Department, Ormond Beach Police Department and Volusia County Beach Safety. The event featured show-and-tells by the various officers on different agency department functions, a bomb demonstration, as well as a kickball game between OBPD and Riverbend Academy upper classmen.
Students won the match against the officers, with a 2-1 score.
