Officers found the man asleep in the driver's seat of the running vehicle. He was ordered to turn off and exit the vehicle, and when the reporting officer arrived at the scene, he noted that the man was only wearings shoes and shorts. The man agreed to perform the standardized field sobriety exercises, which he subsequently failed.
The man later changed his story and told police that he had been in town working on pools with his father.
Police arrested the man, and during a search of his car, officers also found marijuana. He was taken to jail.

Petit theft. "You're coming back, right?"
That's what a local pharmacy retail store clerk asked a 24-year-old woman after she walked out of the store, setting off the security alarm. A police officer had been in the store at the time, as part of his patrol, and he saw the woman try to purchase a few items at the register. Her card was declined, however, and she appeared to make a phone call.
The woman placed a large red purse on her shoulder and left the store, telling the clerk she would be coming right back in. The reporting officer followed her outside and spotted her fleeing. He began to chase her and the woman screamed as she ran away.
The officer eventually caught her and placed her under arrest. In her purse were several cosmetic items and a pair of sunglasses, totaling over $86 worth of merchandise. A meth pipe was also found.
Police also found text messages on her phone indicating the woman hadn't been working alone. There were several others in the store in on the crime, and one text message stated to "keep eyes on the purse" as the woman dropped it while she ran from the officer. She was taken to jail.
