A man was flown to Halifax Health the afternoon of Monday, Oct. 21, after he crashed his car into the tree line off I-95 near exit 293 in Palm Coast.
FireFlight, the Flagler County Fire Department’s helicopter, landed on the northbound lanes just south of the off-ramp at exit 293 at about 4:50 p.m. and took off with the patient, who was alert, at about 5:15 p.m.
Palm Coast Fire Department’s Engine Nos. 22 and 23, Fire rescue advanced life support and Palm Coast fire battalion responded to the scene, as well.
Traffic was backed up to about Exit 284 but began moving by 5:20 p.m.
