52-year-old Palm Coast man was found dead at his home Sept. 5.

The Flagler County Sheriffs Office had received a call at about 10:21 a.m. stating that a man was possibly suicidal.

Dispatchers got a call from Federico Guevara, 52, "advising that cops were blocking the roadway and that he wanted a deputy to call him," according to an FCSO incident report. Federico then hung up.

Feredico’s ex-wife also called 911 saying that Federico had told her over the phone that he was going to kill himself. She then heard a "pop" on the line, and it went silent.

Deputies arrived on scene and were informed that Federico was armed and had security cameras around the house.

They set up a perimeter, called in SWAT personnel and tried to contact Federico by phone and PA announcements, but he did not answer.

They forced their way into the house, and used a robot to search for Federico. He was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, and was pronounced dead at 2:53 p.m., according to the report.
