The Buccaneers (1-1) celebrated Homecoming Night with a 57-10 victory over Pine Ridge the night of Friday, Sept. 13, at Daytona Stadium.
Teammates on Mainland’s basketball team, Buccaneers quarterback Taron Keith connected with receiver Jordan Sears for a touchdown to open the game. Keith, a University of South Florida commit, threw for six touchdowns in the opening half.
T.J. Lockley, who caught three of Keith’s touchdown passes, replaced Keith at quarterback in the second half, rushing for a 30-yard touchdown in the third quarter.
Running back Gregory Mango ended the game with a long touchdown run.
Overall, the offense had over 500 total yards.

Up next, Mainland squares off against Seminole at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at Daytona Stadium. Seminole (3-0) is coming off a 24-13 win over DeLand, the team that beat Mainland in the Buccaneers' season opener.
"We've got to limit mistakes," Mainland coach Scott Wilson said. "I feel like the team that makes the least amount of errors is going to win this game.
